This lesson talks about how to deal with that person in your life that is condemning of your weight or appearance. Again, I didn’t have much to grab from this lesson because I don’t have a person like that in my life. My sweet husband loves me just the way I am and is always encouraging no matter what. He wants me healthy, but he never nags or makes negative comments to me about it. He has supported many a diet I have tried and been guinea pig to new recipes. And if I want a treat, he gladly shares one with me. So no, I don’t struggle with that issue.
Still, it means so much to know how God feels about me.
Man does not see what the Lord sees, for man sees what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart. I Samuel 16:7b HCSB
The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 NIV
Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight. Indeed, the hairs of your head are all counted. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows! Luke 12:6-7 HCSB
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 NLT

So even if I weren’t as blessed as I described. Or if there were some other person in my life who was condemning about my weight, would it really matter when I know how God feels about me?
I’m not saying that God (or my husband) would not love for me to lose weight and get healthy. I’m just saying that my worth in God’s eyes (and my husband’s) is not dependent upon that happening!
